Stakefree
Stakefree is a term used in blockchain and decentralized governance to describe designs in which participation, voting rights, or rewards are not tied to holding or staking a particular token. In a stakefree model, individuals may contribute, vote, or receive incentives without exposing capital to staking requirements, lockups, or yield dependencies on token ownership. The concept is discussed as an alternative to traditional stake-based systems that concentrate influence among large holders.
Applications of stakefree are typically described in two areas: governance and rewards. In governance, stakefree designs
Mechanisms and challenges: Common approaches include reputation systems, universal right to participate, or probabilistic voting. However,
Status: Stakefree is largely experimental and not widely adopted in large-scale networks. The term is more often
