Sprayskumbehandling
Sprayskumbehandling, often referred to as spray foam insulation, is a method of applying a liquid chemical mixture that, when sprayed, expands and hardens to create a rigid or semi-rigid foam insulation. This foam acts as a thermal barrier and an air sealant, significantly improving a building's energy efficiency and comfort. The two primary types of spray foam are open-cell and closed-cell. Open-cell foam is lighter, more flexible, and less dense, allowing for better sound dampening and vapor permeability. Closed-cell foam is denser, more rigid, and offers a higher R-value per inch, providing structural strength and a superior vapor barrier.
The application process involves mixing two components, typically isocyanates and polyols, through a specialized spray gun.
