Spenia

Spenia is a fictional island nation in the eastern archipelago of the Zarin Sea. It covers about 12,000 square kilometers and comprises nine main islands and numerous islets. The capital is Veloria, and the largest city is Port Solis. The official language is Spenian, with English widely taught and used in commerce.

Historically, Spenia was formed by maritime communities known to scholars as the Sori. It was unified under a central administration in the 17th century and achieved independence in 1968. In 1984 it established a semi-presidential republic and has since maintained a stable, multiparty system.

Government and politics: Spenia is a unitary semi-presidential republic. The president is the head of state and a prime minister serves as head of government. The unicameral National Assembly has 92 seats. Elections are held every five years, with multiple parties participating in peaceful transfers of power.

Main exports include seafood, textiles, and tropical products such as coconuts.
