SoundStation

SoundStation is a series of digital audio workstations and hardware mixers produced by the Japanese technology company Yamaha Corporation. The first model, the SoundStation SD-200, entered the market in 2003 and was designed primarily for small to medium-sized recording studios. The product line expanded to include larger formats such as the SoundStation SD-2200 and the mobile-focused SoundStation WD-100.

Yamaha built SoundStation around a core of integrated digital signal processing (DSP) and plugins, allowing users to apply effects and mix directly within the hardware. The consoles feature a high-resolution 24‑bit/192 kHz audio interface, I/O routing that supports up to 64 mono inputs, and a European‑style control surface. Software support for the operating systems Windows, macOS and Linux includes a dedicated mixing application that mirrors the hardware’s layout and integrates with major Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools and Ableton Live.
