Sotsiaal

Sotsiaal is an Estonian word meaning "social" or "societal." It functions as an adjective used to describe things related to society, social life, social relations, and public welfare. In everyday language as well as in political and academic contexts, sotsiaal appears in many compound terms to specify the social dimension of a topic.

The word is a loanword from German sozial and has been integrated into Estonian alongside related formations such as sotsiaalne and sotsiaalteadused.
