Solukoksi

Solukoksi is a traditional tea ceremony practiced in Indonesia, particularly in the island of Java. The term "solukoksi" is a Javanese phrase that roughly translates to "drinking together." It is a social ritual where people gather to share and partake in a steaming cup of tea, often flavored with local spices and herbs.

During a solukoksi ceremony, guests are typically invited to participate in a carefully orchestrated process. The host, usually an elder or someone of high social standing, prepares the tea by brewing it in a traditional clay pot called a " gambang". The tea is often infused with local ingredients such as ginger, lemongrass, and cloves, which are believed to have medicinal properties.
