Solarfelder
Solarfelder is a term used in German-speaking contexts to denote large-scale solar photovoltaic installations, and more broadly solar power facilities designed to generate electricity from sunlight. The word translates to “solar fields” and is commonly applied to utility-scale projects that feed power into the regional grid. In some contexts, the term can also refer to solar thermal sites, but photovoltaic installations are by far the most widespread form described as Solarfelder.
