Sokcho

Sokcho is a city in Gangwon Province, South Korea, located on the northeast coast along the East Sea. It is known as a gateway to Seoraksan National Park, one of the country’s most popular mountain landscapes, and a traditional seaside port. The city sits opposite the North Korean coast across the sea and is bordered by Yangyang County to the south. Sokcho’s waterfront features a working fishing port, a pair of markets, and seafood restaurants that attract visitors year-round.
