Socialiste

The term socialiste is a French adjective meaning "socialist" and is also used as a noun to refer to a person who subscribes to socialist ideas or belongs to a socialist party. In politics, the label is used similarly in many languages, with cognate terms such as socialist in English and socialiste in several Romance-language contexts.

Core ideas associated with socialism include collective or public ownership or control of the means of production, social equality, and planning or coordination of economic activity to promote welfare and reduce inequality.
