Smain
Smain is a town located in the province of Al Hoceïma in the Tétouan-Tanger-Al Hoceïma region of Morocco. It is situated in the northern part of the country. The area is characterized by its mountainous terrain, typical of the Rif Mountains. Smain has a predominantly rural population, with agriculture forming a significant part of its economy. The local culture reflects the traditions of the Imazighen (Berber) people who inhabit the region. The town's infrastructure includes basic services such as schools and health facilities to serve the local community. Like many rural Moroccan towns, Smain experiences a climate that is influenced by its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and its inland mountainous location, with hot summers and mild, wet winters. The surrounding landscape offers opportunities for outdoor activities, though tourism is not a major industry. The administrative structure of Smain falls under the local governance of the Al Hoceïma province.
