Slitlamppututkimusta

Slitlamppustumaus is an old Finnish word that roughly translates to "slit-lamp examination". It dates back to the 19th century and was a term used in the field of urology, specifically in the diagnosis and examination of the urinary tract.

During the 19th and early 20th centuries, slit-lamp examination was a common technique used by urologists to examine the interior of the bladder and urethra. The method involved the use of a special lamp with a narrow slit opening, which allowed the doctor to visualize the interior of the urinary tract. This was done with the patient in a specific position and with the use of a lubricating agent to minimize discomfort.
