Skeittilaudalla

Skeittilaudalla, commonly known as a skateboard, is a short board typically made of wood mounted on four wheels, used for skateboarding. The deck itself is often made of several layers of maple veneer pressed together. Underneath the deck, trucks are attached, which are metal T-shaped axles that hold the wheels. The wheels are usually made of polyurethane and come in various sizes and hardnesses, affecting the ride and performance.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity and a sport that involves riding and performing tricks using a skateboard. The sport originated in the United States in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Initially, surfers used skateboards to practice when the waves were flat, leading to the nickname "sidewalk surfing." Modern skateboards have developed significantly from their early prototypes.
