Sitzlizenzen, often translated as "seat licenses" or "concurrent user licenses," are a method of software licensing where the number of users who can access a particular software application simultaneously is restricted, rather than the total number of individual installations. This model is commonly used for enterprise software, specialized applications, or software accessed by many users within an organization. Instead of purchasing a license for every employee who might ever use the software, an organization buys a limited number of "seats" or concurrent licenses. When one user finishes their session and closes the application, their seat becomes available for another user to access.
