Sisääntuloaukko

Sisääntuloaukko is a Finnish term describing an opening that allows entry of something into a space, device, or system. The word combines sisään (inside, inward) with tulo (entry) and aukko (hole, opening). In technical and architectural contexts it is used to refer to an inlet opening, such as where air, water, or signals enter a component or enclosure.

In engineering and building services, sisääntuloaukko typically denotes an inlet for a flow. For example, air intakes in ventilation and air-conditioning systems, engines, or pumps rely on carefully sized and shaped openings to control flow, pressure, and turbulence.
