Silentblocks
Silentblocks, also known as bushings or vibration dampers, are components designed to absorb shock and vibration in mechanical systems. They typically consist of a rubber or polyurethane element sandwiched between two metal or plastic sleeves. This construction allows for controlled movement while isolating the connected parts from unwanted vibrations and noise.
The primary function of a silentblock is to reduce the transmission of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH)
Beyond vehicles, silentblocks are utilized in a wide array of industrial machinery, appliances, and even furniture.
