Siiviläanalyysiä
Siiviläanalyysiä, also known as sieve analysis, is a fundamental laboratory technique used to determine the particle size distribution of granular materials. It involves separating particles into different size fractions by passing them through a series of sieves with progressively smaller mesh openings. The material is placed on the top sieve, and the entire stack is shaken or vibrated, allowing particles smaller than the mesh size to pass through to the next sieve. This process continues until all particles have been classified.
The retained material on each sieve is then weighed. By comparing the weight of the material retained
Siiviläanalyysiä is widely applied in various industries, including civil engineering, mining, agriculture, and manufacturing. In civil
