Signaalitaseme

Signaalitaseme is a term that does not appear in standard Dutch technical vocabulary and is not widely attested in authoritative references. It seems to be a nonce or misspelled formulation derived from signaal, with a suffix that is not productive in Dutch. In practice, signaalitaseme is often interpreted as referring to the level or intensity of a signal, i.e., the strength or power of a signal at a given point in a system. Because of its rarity, it is generally recommended to use more established Dutch terms such as signaalsterkte (signal strength), signaalniveau (signal level), or signaalintensiteit, depending on the exact meaning.

Possible contexts include telecommunications, radio and wireless networks, audio engineering, and control systems. In these fields, the signal level is commonly quantified in units such as decibels relative to a reference (dB), decibels milliwatts (dBm), voltages (V), or field strength (V/m). In user interfaces, “signaalsterkte” often appears as a bar indicator; in technical reporting, “signaalniveau” or “signaalintensiteit” may be used alongside measurement results.
