SigebertI
Sigebert I was king of the Franks from 561 to his death in 575. He was one of the four sons of Chlothar I, whom he succeeded along with his brothers Charibert, Guntram, and Chilperic. Upon their father's death, the Frankish kingdom was divided among the four brothers, and Sigebert received the eastern portion, often referred to as Austrasia. This territory encompassed parts of modern-day northeastern France, western Germany, and Luxembourg.
