Shushenskoye
Shushenskoye is a rural locality in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. It is the administrative center of Shushensky District. The settlement is situated in the southern part of Krasnoyarsk Krai, approximately 20 kilometers from the Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam and the city of Sayanogorsk. Shushenskoye is historically significant as a place of exile, most notably for Vladimir Lenin in 1897-1900. During his time in Shushenskoye, Lenin wrote several works, including "The Development of Capitalism in Russia."
