ShotListen is a technology that enables the identification of the origin of gunshots. It uses a network of acoustic sensors deployed in a given area to detect and triangulate the sound of a firearm being discharged. When a gunshot is detected, the sensors record the sound and send the data to a central processing unit. This unit analyzes the sound waves to determine the direction and distance of the shot, and consequently, its likely origin.
