Shoreland

Shoreland is a land area adjacent to bodies of water such as lakes, rivers, or seas, defined by legal or regulatory frameworks to protect water quality and ecological integrity. In many jurisdictions, shoreland zones extend a defined distance from the ordinary high-water mark and include upland areas influenced by the proximity to water.
