SharedExchanged is a conceptual framework for facilitating peer-to-peer exchanges of goods, services, and value in a decentralized, trust-enabled environment. It envisions a network in which participants can propose offers and requests, negotiate terms, and complete trades with reduced reliance on traditional intermediaries.

The system combines a distributed ledger for transaction records with a reputation and escrow layer. Transactions are logged immutably; a reputation score reflects past behavior; a multi-party escrow holds funds or items until confirmation of satisfaction. Disputes may be resolved by an optional community arbitration mechanism.

Key components include a network protocol, an identity layer for participant authentication, a trust layer encoding reputation, a settlement layer for value transfer, and a governance layer for protocol updates. Data models include offers, requests, trades, and rating events.

Common use cases range from time banking and local barter networks to microservice marketplaces and skill swaps. In emergency contexts, SharedExchanged could support resource sharing when fiat markets are unavailable.

The project is typically described as open and standards-based, emphasizing interoperability with other ledgers and privacy-preserving techniques. Governance is conceptually community-driven, with participants contributing to protocol decisions and feature development.

As of now, SharedExchanged exists mainly as a theoretical framework and prototype demonstrations, with no widely adopted implementation.
