Shahab1
Shahab-1 is an Iranian short-range ballistic missile. It is believed to be based on the North Korean Hwasong-5 missile, which itself is a derivative of the Soviet R-11 Scud-B. The Shahab-1 was first revealed in public in 1992 and is thought to have entered service in the early 1990s. Its operational range is estimated to be between 300 and 400 kilometers, with a payload capacity of around 1,000 kilograms. The missile is transported and launched from a mobile erector-launcher, providing a degree of operational flexibility.
Development of the Shahab-1 was part of Iran's efforts to build a domestic missile capability. While its
