Sfrlamas

Sfrlamas are a genus of aquatic invertebrates belonging to the class Polyplacophora, commonly known as chitons. These mollusks are characterized by their flattened, oval-shaped bodies covered with eight articulated dorsal plates that form a protective shell. Sfrlamas are primarily found in shallow marine environments, often clinging to rocks, coral reefs, and other hard substrates in intertidal zones.

The physical structure of sfrlamas features a muscular foot used for attachment and movement, along with a girdle surrounding the plates that often bears spines or scales. This adaptation allows sfrlamas to withstand strong currents and wave action while maintaining stability on uneven surfaces. Their radula, a toothed feeding apparatus, is adapted for scraping algae and biofilm from surfaces, making them important grazers within their ecosystems.
