Sforzinda
Sforzinda is a theoretical utopian city designed by the Italian Renaissance architect and humanist Antonio Averlino, known as Filarete. He conceived of Sforzinda in his treatise, Trattato di architettura, written around 1460. The city was to be built for Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan, hence the name. Filarete envisioned Sforzinda as an ideal city, a perfect model of urban planning and social organization.
