Servojärjestelmän

Servojärjestelmän, often translated as servo system, refers to a control system that uses a servomechanism for precise motion control. A servomechanism is a closed-loop system that consists of a motor, a feedback device (like an encoder or resolver), and a control circuit. The control circuit compares the desired position or speed with the actual measured position or speed from the feedback device. If there is a difference, known as an error, the control circuit sends a signal to the motor to adjust its output, thereby reducing the error.

The primary function of a servojärjestelmän is to achieve and maintain a specific position, velocity, or acceleration with high accuracy and speed. This is achieved through continuous monitoring and correction. Common components include DC or AC servo motors, which are designed for high torque and precise speed control. The feedback sensor is crucial for closing the loop, providing real-time information about the system's state.
