Sensoriotekniikka

Sensoriotekniikka, often translated as sensor technology, refers to the field of science and engineering concerned with the design, development, and application of sensors. Sensors are devices that detect and respond to some type of input from the physical environment, such as light, heat, motion, moisture, pressure, or any other environmental phenomenon. The specific output of a sensor is usually a signal that is converted into a form that can be interpreted by an observer or, more commonly, by an electronic instrument.
