Selfwriting

Selfwriting refers to the act or process of something writing itself, without direct human intervention for the creation of the content itself. This concept is often explored in science fiction and philosophical discussions, typically involving advanced artificial intelligence or hypothetical sentient machines capable of generating original text. In a more literal, though less common, interpretation, it can describe a situation where a story or piece of writing seems to develop on its own from an initial idea or premise, almost as if the characters or narrative elements are guiding the author.

If a machine could truly "selfwrite," it would raise questions about whether it possesses genuine understanding or merely sophisticated pattern recognition and replication.
