Selektivität

Selektivität refers to the ability of a system, process, or substance to preferentially affect or react with one specific component or target out of a mixture of possibilities. This concept is fundamental across many scientific and technical disciplines.

In chemistry, selectivity is crucial for reactions. A selective reagent will react with a particular functional group or atom in a molecule while leaving other parts of the molecule unchanged.
