Sejtsrség

Sejtsrség is a Hungarian term that translates to "citizenship" in English. It refers to the status of belonging to a particular nation or state, which grants certain rights and imposes certain responsibilities. This status is typically acquired through birth within a country's territory (jus soli) or by descent from parents who are citizens of that country (jus sanguinis).

The concept of sejtsrség is fundamental to the existence of modern nation-states, defining who is a member of the political community and thus entitled to its protection and participation. It is often a prerequisite for exercising rights such as voting, holding public office, and receiving social services.
