Scrumteamet

Scrumteamet, commonly referred to as the Scrum Team, is the core unit of Scrum responsible for delivering product increments and achieving the Sprint Goal. It is designed to be cross-functional and self-organizing, capable of turning backlog items into a working product within a sprint.

The Scrum Team comprises three roles: Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Developers. The Product Owner manages the Product Backlog, clarifies backlog items, and prioritizes work to maximize value. The Scrum Master serves as a facilitator and coach, helping the team follow Scrum practices and removing impediments. Developers are the professionals who do the work to build the product; they form a cohesive, cross-functional group empowered to organize themselves to complete the work.

Responsibilities: The team commits to a Sprint Goal and to delivering a potentially releasable Increment at the end of each Sprint. They participate in planning, daily coordination, reviews with stakeholders, and retrospectives. They maintain transparency through artifacts such as the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment, and they apply a Definition of Done to ensure quality.

Size and collaboration: Scrum Teams are typically small, with enough people to cover the necessary skills but small enough to remain highly collaborative. The team works closely with stakeholders and other teams, while minimizing external dependencies to improve flow and feedback.

Relation to Scrum: The Scrum Team is the primary unit for Scrum within the framework, and its performance is central to how effectively Scrum is implemented in an organization.
