Sahadevas

Sahadevas is a prominent figure in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. He is one of the five Pandava brothers, sons of King Pandu and his wife Madri, although he was fathered by the Ashvins, the divine twin physicians, through a boon. Sahadeva is known for his sharp intellect, wisdom, and profound knowledge of astrology and omens. He is often depicted as calm, virtuous, and deeply devoted to his elder brothers, particularly Yudhisthira.

Throughout the epic, Sahadeva plays a crucial role in the events leading up to and during the Kurukshetra War. His foresight and understanding of celestial events often provided valuable guidance to the Pandavas. He was a skilled warrior, proficient with swords and other weapons, and fought bravely alongside his brothers. In the Mahabharata, Sahadeva is described as being exceptionally beautiful and possessing a gentle nature. He is also known for his unwavering commitment to dharma, the righteous path. After the war and the subsequent reign of Yudhisthira, Sahadeva, like his brothers, embarked on a final journey of renunciation, ascending to heaven.
