Safaniya
Safaniya is a massive offshore oil field located in the Persian Gulf, approximately 260 kilometers north of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. It is operated by Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia. Discovered in 1951, Safaniya is the largest among the world's offshore oil fields and the second largest oil field overall, surpassed only by Saudi Arabia's Ghawar field.
