SSVP
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, often abbreviated as SSVP, is an international voluntary organization dedicated to helping the poor and needy. Founded in Paris, France in 1833 by Frédéric Ozanam and his companions, the SSVP operates on a person-to-person basis, providing spiritual, material, and emotional support to those in need. Its members, known as Vincentians, work in teams called "conferences," typically within parishes or local communities.
The core mission of the SSVP is to serve Christ in the poor, treating them with dignity
