SARroutes
SARroutes are standardized paths published to support search and rescue operations for both airborne and seaborne distress events. They define a network of waypoints, coordinates, and associated procedures intended to improve coverage, reduce response times, and facilitate the rapid allocation of assets such as aircraft, ships, and drones. SARroutes are established by national rescue authorities, coast guards, and aviation or maritime authorities, and they are supported by international bodies to promote cross-border cooperation.
