Røntgendiagnostikk
Røntgendiagnostikk, also known as radiography, is a medical imaging technique that uses X-rays to create images of the inside of the body. These images are primarily used to diagnose and monitor various medical conditions. The process involves directing a beam of X-rays through the body part being examined. Different tissues absorb X-rays to varying degrees. Dense tissues like bone absorb more X-rays, appearing white on the resulting image, while softer tissues allow more X-rays to pass through, appearing in shades of gray or black.
The equipment used in røntgendiagnostikk typically includes an X-ray tube that generates the X-rays and a detector
