Rushmoor

Rushmoor is a local government district in Hampshire, England. It is located in the northeast of the county and is home to the towns of Aldershot and Farnborough. The district was formed in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972, merging the former borough of Aldershot and the urban district of Farnborough.

The name "Rushmoor" is derived from a former royal hunting park that once covered much of the area. The park was established by King Henry VIII and was known for its abundance of rushes, hence the name.
