Ruiskupistoolia

Ruiskupistoolia are devices used to apply coatings by atomizing liquids with compressed air and delivering them through a nozzle. They are widely used to apply paints, lacquers, primers, and stains, providing controlled spray patterns and efficient material usage. The equipment ranges from small handheld hobby guns to larger production spray systems.

Different configurations exist for fluid delivery. Gravity-feed guns have the paint cup above the nozzle, allowing the fluid to feed into the nozzle by gravity. Siphon-feed guns have the cup below the nozzle and rely on suction to draw the liquid through the supply tube. Pressure-feed or pot systems use a pressurized reservoir to deliver fluid. Airflow types include conventional, HVLP (high-volume, low-pressure), and LVLP (low-volume, low-pressure), which influence overspray, transfer efficiency, and finish quality.

Operation is adjusted through fluid control, air pressure, and nozzle or needle size. The needle opens to allow fluid to reach the nozzle, where compressed air shears it into a fine spray. The spray pattern can be round, fan-shaped, or adjustable, and the amount of material is controlled by the fluid control knob and the air pressure setting.

Applications of ruiskupistoolia include automotive refinishing, furniture and cabinetry finishes, sign painting, model making, and general industrial coatings. HVLP and LVLP variants are popular where finish quality and reduced overspray are priorities, while conventional guns may offer higher speed for larger areas.

Maintenance and safety are essential. Clean the gun promptly after use with the appropriate solvent, disassemble and inspect the nozzle, needle, and seals, and reassemble carefully. Use in a well-ventilated area with suitable protective equipment to handle solvents and paint aerosols. Regular maintenance helps extend tool life and ensure consistent results.
