RuhrSiegs is a collective of interdisciplinary artists and technologists based in the Ruhr region of Germany. Founded in 2014, the group operates primarily in Dortmund and Essen, where it collaborates with local cultural institutions, universities, and industry partners to explore the intersection of contemporary art practice and digital technology.

The name RuhrSiegs derives from the German words for “Ruhr” (the region’s major river) and “Sieges” (victory), symbolizing the group’s ambition to create innovative solutions to regional challenges. Their projects routinely involve large-scale visual installations, interactive media, and data‑driven performances that engage public spaces and community audiences.

Key initiatives include the “Digital Horizon” series, which uses augmented reality to reinterpret historical industrial sites, and “Sound Labyrinth,” an audio‑visual installation that maps the acoustic history of the Ruhr area. RuhrSiegs also hosts annual workshops that bring together students, engineers, and artists, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and skill development.
