Rteleszkóp

Rteleszkóp is a Hungarian astronomical instrument. It is a type of reflecting telescope. The name is a portmanteau of "reflektor" (reflector) and "teleszkóp" (telescope). These instruments are known for their relatively simple construction and effectiveness.

Historically, many amateur astronomers in Hungary have built or used rteleszkóp instruments. They often utilize a Newtonian optical design, which employs a parabolic primary mirror and a flat secondary mirror to direct the light to an eyepiece. This design is well-suited for amateur telescope making due to the availability of optical components and the straightforward alignment process.

The primary mirror of an rteleszkóp is typically made of glass and is coated with a reflective material, such as aluminum. The secondary mirror is smaller and is positioned at a 45-degree angle to intercept the light cone from the primary mirror. The eyepiece is then placed at the side of the telescope tube.
