Roumha

Roumha is a fictional sovereign state and cultural region located in the eastern part of the continent of Aeloria. Its landscape spans coastal plains, wine-growing valleys, and the Nordis mountains, with a temperate climate and diverse ecosystems. The capital and largest city is Velora. The official language is Roumhan; minority languages include Alari and Kesh. The population is estimated at about 4.2 million.

Roumha traces its political roots to a loose medieval federation of principalities. Unification under a constitutional framework occurred in the 19th century, and the present constitution, adopted in 1991, established a unitary state with a ceremonial presidency and an elected parliament.

Roumha is a unitary parliamentary republic. The president serves largely in a ceremonial role, while the prime minister is head of government. The unicameral Grand Assembly has 110 seats and is elected by proportional representation.

Administratively, Roumha is divided into eight provinces: Nordis, Lyria, Peloria, Verdan, Sila, Kadesh, Myra, and Ardent. Velora lies in Nordis Province and serves as the political and economic hub.

The economy is diversified, with agriculture, manufacturing, and services. Key sectors include wine, olives, cereals, textiles, and tourism. The roum is the currency unit.

Roumha's culture blends medieval and modern influences. Cuisine emphasizes olive oil and herbs; folk music, crafts, and regional festivals such as Lumina are central to public life.

Education is compulsory through secondary level, with universities in Velora, Lyria, and Nordis city. A regional rail network, good road links, and Velora International Airport support trade and mobility.

Demographically, Roumha is predominantly Roumhan, with minority groups including Alari and Kesh. Urban areas account for a growing share of the population; literacy is high and life expectancy is on regional norms.
