Rotorfajták refers to a classification system for types of aircraft rotors, primarily used in the context of helicopters and autogyros. This system categorizes rotors based on their design, mechanics, and how they generate lift and control. The main distinctions often lie in the number of blades, the method of blade attachment to the hub, and the rotor's ability to articulate.

Common categories within rotorfajták include rigid rotors, articulated rotors, and semi-rigid rotors. Rigid rotors have blades that are fixed directly to the rotor head without any hinges or flapping capabilities. This design offers high responsiveness but can induce significant stresses. Articulated rotors feature flapping hinges, allowing blades to move up and down, and drag hinges, allowing them to move fore and aft, which helps to alleviate aerodynamic and inertial forces. Semi-rigid rotors, also known as gimbal rotors, allow flapping but typically not drag motion, offering a compromise between the rigidity of the former and the complexity of the latter.

Further subdivisions can exist based on the number of rotor systems, such as single rotor configurations (with or without a tail rotor), coaxial rotors (two main rotors rotating in opposite directions on the same mast), and tandem rotors (two main rotors mounted one behind the other).
