Rotaatiovalua

Rotaatiovalua, also known as rotational casting or spin casting, is a manufacturing process used to produce hollow, uniformly thick, and often complex molded parts. This technique involves pouring a liquid casting material, such as plastic, rubber, or metal, into a hollow mold. The mold is then rotated continuously on one or more axes at a controlled speed.

The centrifugal force generated by the rotation evenly distributes the molten material against the inner walls of the mold, creating a solid shell as the material cools or cures. Once the material has solidified, the mold is stopped, and the finished part is removed.

Rotaatiovalua is particularly well-suited for producing large, hollow items like tanks, containers, kayaks, toys, and automotive components. Its advantages include the ability to create seamless, single-piece parts with excellent wall thickness consistency, even in intricate shapes. It also requires relatively low tooling costs compared to some other molding processes, making it an economical choice for both small and large production runs. The process can accommodate a wide range of materials, offering flexibility in terms of product properties and applications.
