Robotics;Notes is a visual novel developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus. It is the third installment in the Science Adventure series, following Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, and Chaos;Child. The game was released in Japan in 2012 for the Xbox 360 and later ported to PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PC. A PlayStation 4 version was released in 2016, and a Nintendo Switch version in 2017. An anime adaptation of the game premiered in October 2012.

The story is set in the year 2019 in the Science Island of Tanegashima, a man-made island off the coast of Japan. It follows the adventures of the Robotics Club at Tanegashima Central High School. The club members are working on building a "Gunvarrel," a large robot, to participate in the Robot Olympiad. However, their efforts take a turn when they stumble upon a mysterious conspiracy involving advanced robotics and a hidden organization called Project Ataraxia. The protagonist, Kaito Yashio, is a laid-back gamer who gets drawn into the club's activities and the unfolding mystery.

Robotics;Notes explores themes of artificial intelligence, robotics, the future of technology, and the potential dangers of unchecked scientific advancement. It blends elements of science fiction, mystery, and slice-of-life drama. The game utilizes a "kimihug" system, which allows players to interact with their phone in-game to access various web pages, forums, and social media, immersing them further into the world and its narrative. The plot is known for its intricate web of connections to other Science Adventure titles.
