Rithville

Rithville is a city located in the eastern part of Veridia. It serves as the county seat of Rith County and lies along the Rith River, about 40 miles northeast of Veridia's capital. The city covers 25 square miles and had a population of about 27,000 in 2020. The climate is temperate with warm summers and cold winters.

Founded as a trading post in 1834 by settlers from the northern frontier, Rithville grew with the arrival of the national rail network in the late 19th century. It developed manufacturing in the early 20th century and has since diversified into services and education.

Today's economy relies on light manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and education. Major employers include Veridia Regional Hospital, Rithville Manufacturing Works, and the campus of Veridia State University in the city. Transportation includes two state highways, a regional rail line, and proximity to Veridia International Airport; local buses serve the urban core.

Rithville hosts Veridia State University–Rithville Campus, along with several primary and secondary schools. Cultural institutions include the Rithville Museum of History and the City Theater. Annual events include the Harvest Festival, Riverfront Jazz Days, and the Summer Arts Market.

The city is governed by a mayor and a nine-member city council. The population is diverse, with households spanning multiple ethnic and age groups. Local media and public libraries serve the community, including the Rithville Public Library.
