Rintakehänpainallukset, also known as chest compressions, are a critical component of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). They are performed to manually stimulate the heart and circulate blood throughout the body when a person's heart has stopped beating effectively. The procedure involves placing the heel of one hand on the center of the chest, between the nipples, and the heel of the other hand on top of the first hand.
