Rightaccelerationism

Rightaccelerationism is a fringe political ideology that advocates for the acceleration of existing social and political trends, particularly those perceived to be in decline, with the goal of either hastening a collapse or triggering a radical transformation. It is a complex and often contradictory ideology that draws from various strands of right-wing thought, including traditionalism, accelerationism, and sometimes elements of nationalism and identitarianism.

Proponents of right-accelerationism typically believe that contemporary Western societies are in a state of decay, characterized by liberalism, multiculturalism, and perceived cultural degradation. They see these trends as unsustainable and argue that attempts to reform or preserve the existing order are futile. Instead, they propose that by exacerbating these perceived weaknesses, either through direct action or by amplifying existing societal tensions, a crisis can be provoked. This crisis, in their view, would then clear the way for the establishment of a new, more desirable social and political order, often envisioned as more traditional, hierarchical, or ethnically homogenous.

The specific methods and desired outcomes of right-accelerationism vary significantly among its adherents. Some may advocate for disruptive protests or symbolic acts intended to provoke a strong state reaction, believing this will expose the system's authoritarian nature. Others might focus on amplifying divisive rhetoric online or engaging in acts of sabotage, aiming to increase social polarization and distrust. The envisioned end-state can range from a renewed ethno-nationalist state to a more decentralized, traditionalist society. Due to its radical nature and association with extremist thought, right-accelerationism remains a marginal ideology with limited real-world influence, though its ideas occasionally surface in online discussions and manifest in isolated acts of violence.
