Renalla is a fictional character from the Final Fantasy series, developed by Square Enix. She first appeared in Final Fantasy VII as a member of the Shinra Electric Power Company, serving as a scientist and later a key figure in the organization’s research and development division. Renalla is notable for her expertise in biotechnology and her involvement in the creation of the Jenova Project, a controversial initiative aimed at transferring the consciousness of an alien lifeform, Jenova, into human hosts.

Originally portrayed as a loyal employee of Shinra, Renalla’s character arc evolves as the story progresses. Her work on the Jenova Project inadvertently contributes to the creation of the bioengineered lifeforms known as the Prometheans, including the iconic character Sephiroth.
