It emphasizes a causal relationship between faith and ethical behavior, suggesting that religious doctrines provide the ultimate authority for determining right and wrong. In this view, moral duties are seen as expressions of covenantal or divine commands rather than as abstract principles derived from reason or empirical observation alone.
