Relatores (singular: relator) is a term used in legal and administrative systems of some Romance-language jurisdictions, most notably Portugal and Brazil. The word derives from the Latin relator, meaning “one who relates or reports.” In English contexts, the equivalent role is often called a rapporteur. Relatores are officials or specialists charged with preparing a formal report, assessment, or opinion on a matter assigned to them.
